中文 | 惟愿我的烦恼称一称,我一切的灾害放在天平里。 |
英文 | Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together! |

中文 | 现今都比海沙更重,所以我的言语急躁。 |
英文 | For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up. |

中文 | 因全能者的箭射入我身,其毒,我的灵喝尽了。神的惊吓摆阵攻击我。 |
英文 | For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me. |

中文 | 野驴有草岂能叫唤,牛有料,岂能吼叫。 |
英文 | Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder? |

中文 | 物淡而无盐岂可吃吗,蛋青有什么滋味呢。 |
英文 | Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg? |

英文 | The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat. |

中文 | 惟愿我得着所求的,愿神赐我所切望的。 |
英文 | Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for! |

中文 | 就是愿神把我压碎,伸手将我剪除。 |
英文 | Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off! |

英文 | Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One. |

英文 | What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life? |

英文 | For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid. |

英文 | Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance? |

中文 | 岂说,拯救我脱离敌人的手吗。救赎我脱离强暴人的手吗。 |
英文 | Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty? |

中文 | 请你们教导我,我便不作声。使我明白在何事上有错。 |
英文 | Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred. |

中文 | 正直的言语力量何其大。但你们责备是责备什么呢。 |
英文 | How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove? |

英文 | Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things? |
