中文 | 论大马士革的默示。看哪,大马士革已被废弃,不再为城,必变作乱堆。 |
英文 | The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. |

中文 | 亚罗珥的城邑,已被撇弃。必成为牧羊之处,羊在那里躺卧,无人惊吓。 |
英文 | The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. |

中文 | 以法莲不再有保障。大马士革不再有国权,亚兰所剩下的,必像以色列人的荣耀消灭一样。这是万军之耶和华说的。 |
英文 | The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. |

英文 | And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. |

英文 | And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. |

中文 | 其间所剩下的不多,好像人打橄榄树,在尽上的枝梢上,只剩两三个果子,在多果树的旁枝上,只剩四五个果子。这是耶和华以色列的神说的。 |
英文 | Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel. |

英文 | And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images. |

英文 | In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. |

中文 | 因你忘记救你的神,不记念你能力的磐石。所以你栽上佳美的树秧子,插上异样的栽子。 |
英文 | Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: |

中文 | 栽种的日子,你周围圈上篱笆,又到早晨使你所种的开花。但在愁苦极其伤痛的日子,所收割的,都飞去了。 |
英文 | In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. |

中文 | 唉,多民哄囔,好像海浪??訇,列邦奔腾,好像猛水滔滔。 |
英文 | Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! |

中文 | 列邦奔腾,好像多水滔滔。但神斥责他们,他们就远远逃避,又被追赶,如同山上的风前糠,又如暴风前的旋风土。 |
英文 | The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. |

中文 | 到晚上有惊吓,未到早晨他们就没有了。这是掳掠我们之人所得的分,是抢夺我们之人的报应。 |
英文 | And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us. |
