英文 | Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. |

英文 | And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. |

英文 | And he spake this parable unto them, saying, |

中文 | 你们中间谁有一百只羊,失去一只,不把这九十九只撇在旷野,去找那失去的羊直到找着呢。 |
英文 | What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? |

中文 | 找着了,就欢欢喜喜的扛在肩上,回到家里。 |
英文 | And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. |

中文 | 就请朋友邻舍来,对他们说,我失去的羊已经找着了,你们和我一起欢喜吧。 |
英文 | And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. |

中文 | 我告诉你们,一个罪人悔改,在天上也要这样为他欢喜,较比为九十九个不用悔改的义人,欢喜更大。 |
英文 | I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. |

中文 | 或是一个妇人,有十块钱,若失落一块,岂不点上灯,打扫屋子,细细的找,直到找着吗。 |
英文 | Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? |

中文 | 找着了,就请朋友邻舍来,对他们说,我失落的那块钱已经找着了,你们和我一同欢喜吧。 |
英文 | And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. |

中文 | 我告诉你们,一个罪人悔改,在神的使者面前,也是这样为他欢喜。 |
英文 | Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. |

英文 | And he said, A certain man had two sons: |

中文 | 小儿子对父亲说,父亲,请你把我应得的家业分给我。他父亲就把产业分给他们。 |
英文 | And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. |

中文 | 过了不多几日,小儿子就把他一切所有的,都收拾起来,往远方去了。在那里任意放荡,浪费赀财。 |
英文 | And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. |

中文 | 既耗尽了一切所有的,又遇着那地方大遭饥荒,就穷苦起来。 |
英文 | And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. |

中文 | 于是去投靠那地方的一个人,那人打发他到田里去放猪。 |
英文 | And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. |

中文 | 他恨不得拿猪所吃的豆荚充饥。也没有人给他。 |
英文 | And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. |

中文 | 他醒悟过来,就说,我父亲有多少的雇工,口粮有馀,我倒在这里饿死吗。 |
英文 | And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! |

中文 | 我要起来,到我父亲那里去,向他说,父亲,我得罪了天,又得罪了你。 |
英文 | I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, |

英文 | And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. |

中文 | 于是起来往他父亲那里去。相离还远,他父亲看见,就动了慈心,跑去抱着他的颈项,连连舆他亲嘴。 |
英文 | And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. |

中文 | 儿子说,父亲,我得罪了天,又得罪了你,从今以后,我不配称为你的儿子。 |
英文 | And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. |

中文 | 父亲却吩咐仆人说,把那上好的袍子快拿出来给他穿。把戒指戴在他指头上。把鞋穿在他脚上。 |
英文 | But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: |

中文 | 把那肥牛犊牵来宰了,我们可以吃喝快乐。 |
英文 | And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: |

中文 | 因为我这个儿子,是死而复活,失而又得的。他们就快乐起来。 |
英文 | For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. |

中文 | 那时,大儿子正在田里。他回来离家不远,听见作乐跳舞的声音。 |
英文 | Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. |

英文 | And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. |

中文 | 仆人说,你兄弟来了。你父亲,因为得他无灾无病的回来,把牛犊宰了。 |
英文 | And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. |

中文 | 大儿子却生气,不肯进去。他父亲就出来劝他。 |
英文 | And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. |

中文 | 他对父亲说,我服事你这多年,从来没有违背过你的命。你并没有给我一只山羊羔,叫我和朋友,一同快乐。 |
英文 | And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: |

英文 | It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. |
